The Seals of Scriptural Study

Iconography of uTheology

uTheology Logo
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." — Revelation 22:13

The visual identity of uTheology is intentionally tied to ancient scholastic traditions, framing theological study as a disciplined, objective pursuit of truth. Every element inside the seal holds structural meaning:

  • Alpha & Omega (Right side of codex, bottom): The first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, directly citing Revelation 22:13. It emphasizes the absolute sovereignty, completeness, and eternal nature of God across all historic epochs.
  • Aleph & Bet (Left side of codex, top): The opening letters of the Hebrew alphabet on the corresponding page, representing the foundations of the Old Testament text base and a dedication to original linguistic research.
  • The Open Codex & Quill: Symbolizes primary source documentation, structural preservation, and independent textual analysis—the core work of the curious theologian.
  • Fides Quaerens Intellectum: The Latin motto framing the foundation, translating flat-out to "Faith Seeking Understanding." It defines our mission: that true faith naturally drives the intellect to examine deep, systematic inquiries.
